You may ask - why would I dedicate a section of my webpage to my career as a Communication Specialist if I am looking for a job as a Digital Project Manager? Because those experiences are an essential part of who I am. They helped me build a professional profile and gave me a solid basis on what a working environment looks like. They gave me crucial guidelines on how to behave, how to act in difficult situations, how to commit to deadlines, how to optimize time and prepare my daily, weekly and monthly schedule.
I had the chance of mostly working as a Press Officer, which helped me to understand and learn how to handle different approaches, contexts, and stakeholders. I was not working in a digital environment, but in a certain aspect, the process was similar. I always had two essential missions: to understand stakeholders' needs and be their voice to the press; and to manage an often understaffed team to meet those expectations.
I somehow ended up working in the cultural field, which made me build an arts-related background. My clients were mostly artists (singers, movie directors, writers, actors, and so on), so it was no surprise that my first job in Europe was as an agent and tour guide at a Museum.
As I always say, communication is everything. Even though this tour guide job had little to do with my career path so far, nor with the subject of my Master's, it helped me improve my French and get to know more about different aspects of the European working culture.
