I have spoken to our local school and they and our parents and residents can work together to solve any parking concerns. Our local community, children's education and keeping our children safe matters.
"Dear Bazil
Thank you.
The majority of our parents live in the Liden area and walk to school, but some choose to use their car to bring their children to school for various reasons.
When parents first start at the school it is stressed to them that they cannot park within the school grounds and the best option would be to walk their children to school wherever possible to promote a healthy lifestyle.
If they choose to drive their children to school we advise them to park in the car park by the Community Centre and to be considerate to our neighbours and not park in the surrounding streets or block any driveways.
Also, we send out communications to remind parents about not parking in the streets and to use the car park at the Community Centre. We do not have any authority outside of our school grounds to go out and patrol these areas and ask parents not to park in these streets.
Kind regards
Liden Primary & Nursery School"
