Licheng Xu
Welcome!
I am a PhD candidate in Agricultural and Applied Economics (AAE) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My research interest lies at the intersection of public economics, development economics and agricultural economics. Specifically, I am interested in policies targeting low-income households in both developed and developing countries. My job market paper, titled "Timing of SNAP disbursement and crime incidence in the United States", explores how variation in the SNAP disbursement schedule affects the incidence of crime in the local communities.
I will be on the economics job market 2021-2022, and I will be available for interviews held during the 2022 ASSA meetings.
