Dr. Ketki M. Lichade
Dr. Ketki M. Lichade is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at University at Buffalo. Her Ph.D. is focused on photopolymerization-based additive manufacturing as applied to multimaterial structures with hierarchical structures.
Her research interests include development of innovative techniques within Advanced Manufacturing, particularly pertaining to multifunctional structures characterized by either pre-programmed or programmable properties.
Her primary goal is the application of her diverse expertise in areas such as Additive Manufacturing, Material Science, Surface Engineering, and Bioinspired Design. These facets come together to offer solutions across a wide range of multidisciplinary fields, including mechanical, electrical, optical, biomedical, and hydrodynamic applications. Addressing advanced manufacturing challenges such as intricate geometric designs, material limitations, manufacturing constraints, and multifunctionality constitutes the core of her research initiatives.
