Mission:
Our goal is to innovate novel manufacturing processes to create multiscale, multimaterial, and multifunctional structures to enable precisely customized properties and optimal performance. Some of the research activities include:
Multimaterial and multiscale additive manufacturing.
Manufacturing of multifunctional and autonomous devices.
Exploring bio-inspired approaches in advanced manufacturing.
Production of lightweight materials, including composites and porous structures.
Process-structure-property relationship modeling.
Ph.D. Position Openings:
The Advanced Manufacturing (AM) Lab is currently welcoming applications for MAE Ph.D. student positions, with anticipated start in Fall 2025 or later. Selected candidates will actively engage in research projects centered around advanced manufacturing, material design, and multidisciplinary application developments.
