• Dispose of or store hair ties, bows, headbands, and other fabric hair accessories in plastic bags.

• Avoid sharing hats; if used, ensure they are disinfected in the dryer before each use.

• Vacuum mattresses, sofas, and fabric chairs, as lice can survive outside the scalp for up to three days.

• Disinfect combs and brushes by soaking them in boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes or replacing them.

• After the first treatment, use only combs until the process is complete.

• For girls with long hair, keeping it tied in braids or buns is recommended, along with applying a lice repellent twice a day (before school and after returning home).
