The digital revolution including the growth of virtual world and web applications have become challenging for libraries and information services to undergo paradigm shifts in information delivery. Embracing these radical changes means that libraries and information services rely on innovative ideas that significantly shift strategic direction. Libraries can remain relevant in the virtual world by searching for and shaping opportunities, enabling futuristic learning environments new ideas and producing creative/sustainable outcomes within services. Aligning with projects and meeting the future learning is important for ensuring the sustainable growth of the R&D organisation and robust information services can impact in meeting the mandate of the Institute.

The major objectives of this seminar is to bring together Library & Information Professionals associated with reputed institutions in and around Mysuru to exchange the ideas, new initiatives, rich experiences and viewpoints about innovative library services for overall benefit of the library users including food scientists. National experts from premier institutions viz., IISc, DRTC, NAL, NISCAIR and NIIT are delivering lectures on various topics.
