Accepted file types and sizes (more info..)

File types that Turnitin can generate a similarity report for are: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint,no encryption PDF,Google Docs ...Files of larger size may be reduced in size by removal of non-text content. Files that are password protected, encrypted, hidden, system files. Size:less than 100MB; that is less than 800 pages.

Any regulation about similarity percentage?

It depends on your department or advisor , please contact your department office directly. There is no regulation from LIBRARY.

How do I Submit the NTUST Academic Ethics and Authentication of Originality Statement or Similarity Report?

The original copy of this statement, along with the thesis defense examination result, and the evaluation sheets, have to be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs,Graduate Studies Division for filing. The originality comparison report will be kept by the of the respective department/graduate institute/ degree program.This statement don't input the thesis PDF file and paper copy.

How to reduce high similarity score?

3. Properly use quotation marks

4. Referencing your sources

5. Use Turnitin Filters and settings (Funnel Icon): You may use the Filters to reduce the similarity score. (Filter rules please following the regulations of each department.Most departments may not accept filters.)

It shows that my Turnitin class was expired, what should I do?

In order to manage accounts efficiently. Library has set for a end date of each class. For a new semester, please fill in the application form again for a new class.
