Author Guidelines

FIRST DRAFT OF CHAPTER DUE: September 17, 2018
Sections to include:
- Name, job title, institution of all authors
- Brief summary of chapter (1–2 sentences)
- Institutional background (Optional; 250 words max)
- Lesson learned (generalizable lessons to share with readers)
- Recommended readings (list 2–3 suggestions; add a 1 sentence annotation for each reading)
- We encourage you to develop additional headings relevant to your chapter
Style and Tone:
- Chapters should be written in a practical and reflective tone
- Use 1st person narrative style
- See sample chapter for tone (note: it doesn’t not follow the section guidelines)
Formatting:
- Please submit your draft as a .docx file
- 12 pt. Font, Times New Roman, double spaced, 1 inch margins
- Referencing should follow the Endnotes-Bibliography format in the Chicago Manual of Style (17th edition)
- Charts, figures, and tables follow the Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition, Chapter 3 on Illustrations and Tables (pp. 125-170)
- Chapters should be approximately 2,500–5,000 words in length
