The Library of Government Degree College Thannamandi under the guidance of worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmed has achieved complete automation of all the resources available in the library and all the routine activities of library are done through computers. All the students have been issued bar code enabled ID cards for the same. The college library at present has a collection of more than 12177 books. There are Science Books, Arts Books, Reference Books, Career Counseling books and reading section for students. Several magazines, newspapers and journals are available for the benefit of the students. There is also a UGC funded Text-Books Section (Book Bank) available for the needy, deserving students and for researchers of staff. Library offers free internet browsing facility to all the students . Also there is an e-resources access zone in the library. E-registration of almost all the staff members and students have been with National digital Library of India & ONOS for accessing the e-resources.

Library Rules
1. Identity card is compulsory for getting access to the library Students are allowed inside the library only on the production of their valid identity card.
2. Silence to be maintained.
3. No discussion is permitted inside the library.
4. Eatables are not allowed inside the library.
5. No personal belongings are allowed inside the library.
6. Taking on mobile phone and audio instruments with speakers are not allowed.
7. Enter your name, class, roll no, purpose in the visitors register before entering the library.
8. Books will be issued on presentation of the Library cum Identity card. Students are instructed to check the books while borrowing them and they will be responsible for any type f damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return.
9. Material issued should be returned on or before the due date if returned late overdue fine will be charged for the delayed period.
10. That librarian may recall any book from any member at any time and the members shall return them immediately.
11. If the book is lost, then the borrower shall replace the same book with same tittle, edition or the latest edition of the book available or pay double cost of book after getting permission from the librarian.
12. Take special care of library cum identity cards. Do not fold or alter any entry made in the card.
13. Loss of Library card should immediately be reported the librarian. Duplicate card may be issued after formal application and fine u/r.
14. Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, General knowledge books etc. are not issued. Users can use these resources in the library only.
