1. INTRODUCTION
Library Manager and Owner ("we", "us", or "our") provides a comprehensive library management platform for library owners and managers ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Library Manager and Owner application.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Library Manager and Owner is designed with a privacy-first architecture. All data is securely processed and stored using Google Firebase cloud services.
A. Account Information:
When you sign in, we collect your profile information via Google Sign-In, including your display name, email address, profile picture URL, and unique Google user ID. Authentication is provided exclusively through Google Sign-In to ensure account security and eliminate password storage.
B. Library Setup and Management Data:
Information required to set up and manage your library, including library name, physical address, geo-location coordinates, contact phone number, operating hours, seat capacity, floor plan layouts, logo images, and subscription preferences.
C. Student Management Data:
Information entered by you regarding enrolled students, including student names, phone numbers, parent or guardian contact details, addresses, assigned seats, fee structures, payment status, join dates, shift timings, and attendance records.
D. Staff Management Data:
Details regarding staff members, including staff names, phone numbers, assigned roles, and access permissions.
E. Financial and Inventory Records:
Fee records, payment statuses (paid, pending, overdue), transaction dates, digital receipt details, book titles, authors, ISBN numbers, and book issue or return logs.
F. Automated Data Processing:
Server-side operations via Firebase Cloud Functions process data automatically to handle fee payment reminders, low-attendance alerts, data aggregation for reports, and scheduled backups.
3. AUTHENTICATION AND SECURITY
Google Sign-In is the exclusive authentication method for the App. We do not collect or store passwords. Firebase App Check with Play Integrity is active to verify that requests originate exclusively from authentic, untampered app instances.
4. PERMISSIONS REQUESTED
A. Camera: Required for scanning QR codes for student attendance, scanning ISBN barcodes for books, and capturing library logos or student photos.
B. Location: Required to set and publish your library's map location so students can find your library.
C. Storage and Media Access: Used to export PDF, Excel, or CSV reports and back up data locally.
D. Notifications: Used to display fee alerts, attendance updates, and operational reminders.
E. Biometric: Used optionally for fingerprint or face unlock to secure access to the App on your device.
5. ADVERTISING AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Library Manager and Owner integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In (Google LLC) for user authentication.
- Google Cloud Firestore (Google LLC) for encrypted cloud database storage.
- Firebase Cloud Functions and App Check (Google LLC) for server-side processing and security enforcement.
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob (Google LLC) for displaying non-intrusive advertisements in the free tier of the App.
- Google Play In-App Updates (Google LLC) for background application updates.

6. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal or library data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is accessible only to your authenticated Google account via strict security rules.
7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Your data is retained as long as your account remains active. You can delete your account and all associated library data directly in the App under Settings > Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your records stored in Cloud Firestore are permanently purged.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Library Manager and Owner is intended for adult library managers. If a student managed in the app is a minor under 18 years of age, parent or guardian consent should be obtained prior to registering in a library. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate consent.
9. SECURITY MEASURES
All data in transit is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS), and data at rest is encrypted using Google Cloud encryption standards.
10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revisions will be reflected by the Last Updated date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App following updates indicates acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
