The RIDGE 101

• The RIDGE provides a rentable inventory of craft supplies, outdoor recreation, music/av systems, etc. for

• RA programs/events.

• The RIDGE is a programmatic space on campus. It not available for bookings, however, it does provide

• areas for RAs to meet with residents for 1:1’s, programs, Mason Mingles and other initiatives

• The RIDGE operates as a small resource Housing desk for general questions.

• The RIDGE’s programming space holds weekly programming for students and campus partners. These

• initiatives will be sponsored/advertised through Mason360 and your Community Director.

Locked Supplies/Off Limits

• There are some items in the RIDGE that are off limits or need a RIDGE team present to assist with.

• Locked Supplies: Border

• RA’s should not be behind the RIDGE Desk at any time.

• RA’s should not be in the back of the RIDGE looking for supplies. A RIDGE Team member must be present to assist the RA with finding any supplies

• RA must sign in when coming into the Ridge. The sign in log can be found at the front desk

• If an RA is needing to reserve an item for the RIDGE, a RIDGE Team member will work with that staff member to have their reserved item prepared. The RA can also use the online request form and Jeff and Lex will receive notifications when item is reserved

• RA’s must reserve items from the RIDGE no later than 48 hours before their program. Reservations booked past 48 hours have the right to be unreserved

NOTE ON LOunge & hall DECORATIONS

While you are free to decorate your lounge and hall spaces, especially at times such as Move-in, please be mindful and follow these expectations:

• • Do not do anything that would make the space no longer ADA complaint or difficult to physically navigate

  • Do not do or use anything that would be a violation of the Housing Handbook

  • Do not do or use anything that could offend or be considered not inclusive 

  • Only use materials that will not damages walls, floors, or ceiling

    • Avoid hanging items from ceiling

Lounge decorations are not meant to be permanent and therefore should only be up for 2 or 3 weeks
