Family Roots in the Garden State
A Brief History
The Story Behind Liberty Farms
Family Farming in New Jersey Since 1946
The “LIBERTY” Story and Our History in New Jersey.
Stanley Maryanski came to America from Poland in 1912. He was one of the many who passed by the Stature of Liberty and entered through Ellis Island. When Stanley started a foundry business in Bloomfield in the 1920’s he named it Liberty Brass Foundry honoring his passage into America. This is where our farm name originated from. Once in America Stanley had the love of many ambitions, a foundry owner, builder and foremost a farmer. During the early 1900’s he purchased and rented property in Belle Mead and Monroe Township. This is where he farmed during the summers and weekends. He owned two farms in Belle Mead and rented a third between the 1930’s and 1960’s. Two of his farms were located on Route 601 and the third on River Road next to the current Campbell Farm. In 1946 he purchased the Route 601 farm; a portion of this farm is still owned and farmed by our family. Pictured below is Stanley in Belle Mead in 1938.
Stanley lived in Glen Ridge New Jersey. During construction of the Garden State Parkway Stanley was one of the contractors who purchased houses and relocated them to make way for the new highway. He also built the houses on Broad Terrace in Bloomfield, New Jersey. One of the products made at his foundry were highway lighting control boxes which were cast and sent to a manufacturer for finishing. Stanley died in 1962 accidentally while operating a machine at his foundry.
Liberty Electrical Construction was established in 1994 by William S. Rieth, Stanley's grandson. Liberty Farms was established in 2003 by William on Stanley's old Belle Mead farm purchased in 1946. In 2020 the farm expanded to our current 26-acre farm in New Egypt, New Jersey. The farm is operated by Stanly's grandson William Rieth and his two children, Will and Emily (Stanley's great grandchildren). We continue our family name and tradition of farming in the Garden State.
Our primary goal is simple, to provide an excellent customer experience at a modest cost that families can afford. We truly hope you enjoy the visit at our farm and your experience creates memories that will last a lifetime!

Giving Back and Preservation
Working towards a goal that makes a difference. Liberty Enterprises gives back by supporting the Olana Partnership and maintains an Eastern Bluebird trail on our farm. The Eastern Bluebird is on the Endangered Species list.
