Principal'S Message

Hello Liberty Parents and Families!

Like many of you, I am amazed by how quickly our first quarter has passed! In this short time I have learned so much about our school and community.  Each day I have the privilege of connecting with our students, staff, parents and families. We truly have an amazing community! Together, we have continued our collective efforts as a community to provide awesome opportunities and experiences to support our amazing students.

In the spirit of support, one of our fifth-grade students is dealing with a health challenge at our school site. I want you to know that Liberty is doing everything we can to support the student and family.  We’ve already had opportunities for students to support our Liberty family during an information session in the student's class, and we are working on other ways to ensure we continue to help throughout the student’s health journey. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact me directly.

We continue to have many more things in store for our students as we commence Quarter 2.

I am excited for and look forward to our continued work together to support our students!

I wish you a restful Fall Break!

With gratitude,

~ Ms. Dougherty

Our APEX Fun Run was another great event we had this past week! Our students had a wonderful time working hard to complete as many laps as possible. Thank you to the APEX Team, Liberty Staff, PTC and all of our parent volunteers for making the Fun Run exciting and memorable for the students!

As our first quarter draws to a close, please be sure you have signed up for a parent-conference time with your child's teacher. This is an important time to gain more information about your child's progress and how you can support at home.

Dear Families,

As of today, we are halfway through our Apex leadership habits! We learned all about habit #3 in our mission to find the POWER to make the world a better place.  Our 3rd lesson is OPTIMISTIC!  The Apex Team told us that to be OPTIMISTIC means we’re leaders that are hopeful! It means we’re confident in a positive outcome no matter the situation!. Today, we challenge ourselves by chanting:

“Rain or shine, The choice is mine!”

Hey true leaders are OPTIMISTIC.  Check out today's theme video.

*Important note: Pledges must be entered online to count towards our class total, so please be sure to log them at www.myapexevent.com.  The best way to get pledges is to send out shares.  Once you login click the “SHARE” button and send as many shares as you can using text, email, twitter or facebook.  The goal is for every student to send out at least 10 shares.
