My name is Brian M. Bell, MPA, and I am a Personal Finance Coach, Strategic Adviser, and Owner of Liberty Bell Strategies. I received my Master's in Public Affairs from the LaFollette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and my B.A. in political science with a minor in public administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I am a lifelong student of performance management, econometrics (a blend of economics and statistics), and financial independence. I have also served in the Army Reserve and retired after 20 years of service, and have served in State Government in various policy, budget and leadership roles.
I am a vigorous advocate of personal liberty, freedom, and self-dependence. I started Liberty Bell Strategies to try to help enable others to achieve their American dream, secure a free and prosperous future for themselves and those they care for. This is done by enacting strategies that are grounded in proven and statistically significant research, putting your money on autopilot, and building self-confidence and independence.
My approach is to teach and empower individuals to gain control of their own finances, and as a result, their own lives. I believe that having a sound financial foundation is critical to enabling success in other areas of life, while also avoiding problems in relationships, mental and physical health, and overall wellness.
I developed a system that helps put financial obligations on autopilot, which helps to eliminate stress and anxiety, while making it easier to follow through with the financial plan. This can be customized to each individual, household, or organization to empower them to obtain the liberty and power to pursue the way of life they desire.
In regards to coins and precious metals, I gained interest in precious metals as a safehaven asset and a savings vehicle during the COVID pandemic. During that process I also re-discovered some old blue Whitman coin folders my grandfather had given me as a child. I decided to continue work trying to fill those folders, and my collecting and involvement in the hobby has snowballed from there!
I also currently serve as President of the Madison Coin Club, and have served/am serving as the Treasurer for three different local non-profit organizations.
