Model of the United Nations
Each year, the United Nations Model (UNM) simulations bring together hundreds of thousands of students and help them learn more about the principles of the United Nations and how they work. Many of the current leaders of the judicial, government, business and artistic fields - including the United Nations itself - participated in the MUN when they were students.
Position Paper
Writing the position paper:
The position paper document is important for understanding the topic, the position paper will how your position infront of the committee and the possible solutions.
The position paper must be written in third person and it should be in the following format:

Size: 12
Line spacing: 1.5

Your position paper must include:

Topic:

Delegation:
Institution:
Greeting:
In this sentence you must greet the chair and the present delegates
First paragraph:
This paragraph includes information about the topic, it's relevance in history, society and country, it is also recommended to add statistics or data.
The more information you can add to help the problematic the better.
Second Paragraph:
Start writting about the relevance of the topic and the policies of the country. Include examples of what are government or organizations and what they do about it.
Third Paragraph
Add possible solutions: these must be concrete, realist and useful.
Farewell:
Do a short farewell showing gratitude for the present delegates and the chair for the attention.
Example of the position paper:
Parliamentary rules should be followed at all time during the debates. Delegates not doing so will receive a warning.
3 Verbal warnings= Written Warning
Written Warnings= Expel pfrom the session
Written Warnings= Expel FROM THE Model
When a chair gives a warning it cannot be taken back unless the Secretary
General says so.
A) Delegates must:
Respect the decision of the Chair at all times
Ask the floor before speaking
Stand when speaking
Be courteous at all times
Have a diplomatic conduct
Avoid the use of insulting or abusive language
