I am a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, board-certified by the NCCAOM and certified in Clean Needle Technique (CNT). Originally from South Korea, I trained in acupuncture and Chinese medicine at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, completing clinical internships focused on stroke rehabilitation and pain management at Tianjin No. 1 Hospital.
At Lian’s Acupuncture & Massage, I help patients relieve pain, reduce stress, and restore balance through personalized, gentle therapies. My treatments integrate acupuncture, customized herbal medicine, electro-acupuncture, cupping, TENS therapy, and lifestyle guidance to support long-term wellness.
I specialize in pain management, stress and anxiety, migraines, Bell’s Palsy, women’s and men’s health, autoimmune disorders, and stroke rehabilitation. My goal is to help every patient achieve harmony, vitality, and improved quality of life through evidence-informed, natural therapies.
What We Do
Additional customized treatments are available after consultation with our doctor, offering a variety of care options to suit your needs.
The Quantum Magnetic Resonance Analyzer (QMRA), also known as the Bio-Energy Magnetic Scanner, is a cutting-edge medical device that integrates advanced technology to assess a patient’s health status.
This device provides a comprehensive full-body reading in just one minute, with results available on the same day.
Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners insert fine needles into the skin to treat health issues and relieve pain, such as back, joint, or neck pain. The needles may be manipulated manually or stimulated with small electrical currents (electroacupuncture).
By targeting specific acupoints, acupuncture activates nerves and muscles, reduces pain, and helps restore the body’s natural balance.
Electroacupuncture: A Deeper, More Powerful Healing
Electroacupuncture combines traditional acupuncture with gentle electrical stimulation to enhance therapeutic effects. By applying a mild electrical current through the needles, this technique more effectively activates nerves and muscles, relieves pain, improves blood circulation, and treats deeper tissues than traditional acupuncture.
When Electroacupuncture Is Effective
Chronic Pain Relief – Helps with back pain, arthritis, shoulder and neck stiffness, headaches, and more.
Muscle Recovery – Supports recovery from sports injuries and relieves muscle fatigue.
Neurological Conditions – Aids in managing neuropathy, sciatica, and other nerve-related issues.
Stress and Anxiety Reduction – Relaxes the body and promotes autonomic nervous system balance.
Weight Management – Boosts metabolism, enhances fat burning, and improves digestive function.
Benefits of Electroacupuncture
Faster and Stronger Pain Relief – Maximizes the body’s natural healing by stimulating nerves and muscles.
Muscle Relaxation and Improved Circulation – Reduces fatigue and supports recovery.
Deep Tissue Treatment – Reaches deeper layers than traditional acupuncture for more effective results.
Supports Weight Management – Activates metabolism to promote fat burning.
At Lian’s Acupuncture & Massage, we offer an integrative therapy that combines targeted lymphatic massage with precision acupressure and therapeutic massage. This approach is not just for relaxation—it is treatment-focused, addressing both cognitive and musculoskeletal health.
Brain Health and Dementia Prevention
As we age, memory and focus can decline, partly due to the brain’s reduced ability to clear waste products. Our lymphatic system plays a crucial role in removing toxins and reducing inflammation throughout the body. By improving lymph flow, we enhance the brain’s glymphatic system, helping clear harmful proteins such as beta-amyloid, which is linked to Alzheimer’s disease.
Three Key Benefits for Brain Health:
Improved Circulation and Nutrient Delivery – Gentle stimulation of the neck and head enhances blood and lymph flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the brain.
Stress Relief and Better Sleep – Lymphatic massage activates the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and supporting deep sleep—the time when the brain naturally detoxifies.
Reduced Inflammation for Neuronal Protection – Enhanced lymph flow helps lower systemic inflammation, protecting brain cells from chronic damage.
Musculoskeletal and Overall Body Health
Our Acu-Massage therapy combines acupressure with targeted therapeutic massage to treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. By stimulating specific points on the body, we improve circulation, relieve tension, and support overall physical well-being. Each session is designed to help you manage orthopedic conditions and create a personalized plan for maintaining your body’s health.
Integrative Care Approach
Our treatments focus on key acupuncture points such as Fengchi (GB20), Baihui (GV20), and Hegu (LI4), supporting healthy circulation, reducing fatigue, and maintaining cognitive function.
Recommended for those who:
Experience memory or focus decline
Struggle with poor sleep or chronic fatigue
Suffer from musculoskeletal pain or tension
Want to improve overall circulation, energy, and body balance
