~ Meet the Maker ~
Lianne has been crocheting for as long as anyone can remember - rumor has it she had a hook in her hand before she could even walk. Taught by her Mother and Grandmother, she grew up in Western Canada, where long, snowy winters made cozy afghans, hats, and scarves not just hobbies, but necessities. If it could keep someone warm, Lianne was probably stitching it together.
In 2011, she transformed her lifelong passion into Lianne’s Crocheted Crafts, originally taking on small custom orders for family and friends. Then, in 2015, she packed up her kids, her dreams, and - let’s be honest - several bags of yarn, and moved to sunny Arizona (bye snow, hello cactus!). There she married the love of her life and naturally found herself at local farmers markets, sharing her colorful creations with the community.
By 2024, her dream officially leveled up: Lianne’s Crocheted Crafts became an LLC! Today, Lianne is a permanent vendor at Grateful Goods Community Vendors Market in Sierra Vista, Arizona, and she occasionally pops up at craft fairs and small business events throughout Southern Arizona - usually with a smile, a story, and armfuls of handmade goodness in tow.
Want to follow her adventures, new releases, and behind-the-scenes yarn chaos? Be sure to like our Facebook page and follow us on Instagram so you never miss a stitch from LCC. The YouTube channel is a work in progress, but subscribe so you can be the first to see her new content when it arrives! (She’ll soon be offering crochet classes in person as well.)
In her free time (whenever it decides to appear), Lianne crochets for both customers and simply for the joy of it. She loves watching crime shows - because who doesn’t love a good mystery with their stitching? - making music on the saxophone and piano, and spending time with her husband, Tony, and her two grown children, Jessalyn and Zachary… who all know better than to interrupt her when she's counting!
