Liam Schmelzer

The career I have decided to pursue is working in the I.T field.

My Father taught me a lot about I.T because he is the president of an I.T business and he owns his own as well.

At the beginning of 2024 was whenever I decided this field would be right for me. I have started the compTIA security+ training and I am taking a I.T networking class in the tech center next year. The compTIA security+ was a program I studied and will help assist me in my dream. So far I have learned how to fix broken pc’s, put together a pc and cpu, how to set up a network, and I also have some coding down.

Growing up I played a lot of travel baseball, rec basketball, and also often did school activities requiring a lot of teamwork and leadership. I have been to many conventions with my dad and his two companies, so I always end up helping out some there and learning more. I am not employed yet. I will Definitely go to college for I.T and then do something along the computer field. 

I would join the military if it involved me having to do cyber security for them. I would prefer to seek higher education so then I can do the best I can however if it's my only option I will definitely attend community college. I would like to go to a university because I feel as if I could learn more and just get more educated as if I just did four years of college. I'd be limited. I am pretty set on what I want to do with going to a university and getting higher education to be the best version of me I can be. I will definitely stick with I.T or at least stay along the computer line but what I want to do along those fields definitely changes with time and interest. However, no matter what, I will always want to work with computers.
