Starbucks Franchise Origin-Cost Matrix For Riverside, CA
Starbucks Franchise Origin-Cost Matrix For Riverside, CA
I conducted a mock GIS-based market analysis to recommend a store closure for Starbucks in Riverside, California. The project involved using ArcGIS Pro and Esri's cloud-based routing tools to map three-minute drive-time service areas for all locations, create an origin-destination cost matrix showing travel times between the recommended store and others, and estimate population coverage within each service area. I also analyzed population and demographic characteristics for the three stores with the smallest coverage, ultimately providing a well-supported recommendation for closure. This project emphasized clear communication and professional report design, simulating a real-world consultancy scenario.
