T-Mobile Cell Tower Viewshed Analysis in LA County

About This Project:

I conducted a mock GIS analysis for T-Mobile U.S. to optimize cellular network coverage in Los Angeles County within a $750,000 budget. Using ArcGIS, I performed viewshed analysis with cellular tower data and a digital elevation model (DEM) to evaluate three improvement scenarios: adding new towers in underserved areas, increasing the height of existing towers, and extending the range of all towers. The analysis included maps illustrating current and improved coverage under each scenario, charts and tables quantifying changes in coverage area, and a written report recommending the most effective use of the budget.
