I come from a family that is not that keen on traveling, but since my early childhood when I read nature books and comic books that took place in faraway countries, I have been attracted to traveling. After my studies in biology and mathematics, I actually wanted to travel around the world for a year. It turned out differently because a PhD. position was offered to me. So I am still busy with my trip around the world from my base in Wageningen.
