The LIAC Mobile App, developed by Visionary Integration Technology, Ltd, collects minimal information to provide its core functionalities. We do not require user registration or collect personally identifiable information (PII) unless necessary for specific features.
• Device and Usage Data: When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, such as:
o Device type, operating system (iOS or Android), unique device identifiers, IP address, and mobile network information.
o App usage data, including pages viewed, time spent in the App, and interactions (e.g., tapping on links or playing videos).
o This data helps us improve the App's performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token: If you enable push notifications, we generate and store an FCM token locally on your device. This token is used to subscribe to church-specific notification topics (e.g., church__announcements). The token is shared with Firebase to deliver notifications.
• Cached Data: The App uses Firebase Firestore's offline persistence to cache recently viewed content (e.g., announcements, sermons, events, featured items, useful links) for offline access. This data is stored locally on your device and synced when online.
• Firebase Services: We use Firebase (a Google service) for data storage (Firestore), push notifications (FCM), and analytics. Firebase may collect anonymized usage data, such as app crashes or performance metrics, to help us improve the App. For more details, see Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
• External Links and Media: The App may open external links (e.g., Vimeo videos, Google Drive/SoundCloud audio, PDFs, or other URLs). When you interact with these, the third-party services may collect your data according to their privacy policies. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their practices.
o Vimeo: See Vimeo's Privacy Policy .
o Google Drive/SoundCloud: See Google's Privacy Policy and SoundCloud's Privacy Policy .
• No Personal Data Collection: The App does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other PII. All content (e.g., announcements, sermons) is publicly accessible and not tied to individual users.
• We use local storage (via the get_storage package) to save preferences, such as whether notifications are enabled and the FCM token. This data is stored securely on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless required for FCM subscriptions.
• Provide App Functionality: To fetch and display church content in real-time via Firestore and enable offline caching.
• Push Notifications: To send announcements via FCM if you opt-in. You can toggle notifications at any time in the App settings.
• Improve the App: Anonymized usage data helps us analyze performance, fix bugs, and enhance user experience.
• Compliance and Security: To comply with legal requirements and protect against misuse of the App.
• Service Providers: We share data with Firebase (Google) for hosting, storage, and notifications. Firebase processes data in accordance with our instructions and their privacy policy.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or government request.
• Business Transfers: If the App is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
• All data transmitted between the App and Firebase is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
• Local data (e.g., cached content, FCM token) is stored securely on your device using platform-provided security features (e.g., iOS Data Protection, Android Keystore).
• However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
• Local Data: Cached content and preferences are retained on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data.
• FCM Token: Retained locally and with Firebase as long as notifications are enabled.
• We do not retain any PII on our servers.
• Notifications: You can enable/disable push notifications in the App settings.
• Offline Data: You can clear cached data via your device's app settings.
• Access and Deletion: Since we collect no PII, there is no account to access or delete. Uninstalling the App removes all local data.
• California Residents: Under CCPA/CPRA, you have rights to know, delete, and opt-out of data sales (we do not sell data).
• EU/UK Residents: Under GDPR/UK GDPR, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, or restrict data processing. Contact us for requests.
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn of such collection, we will delete it promptly.
Data processed by Firebase may be stored in the U.S. or other countries. By using the App, you consent to such transfers. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for compliance with data protection laws.
