We had a really good crowd for our first Ukulele workshop class including 6 new members! This meeting was the first in a series of Workshop Tutorials on Ukulele Strumming. We were able to completed the first section of the workshop which covered the basics of music rhythm theory and its application to the ukulele. Here's the outline of the workshop presentation if you would like to review the topics covered:

The rhythm part of this workshop may have been difficult for some and maybe boring for others but hopefully everyone came away with at least something useful. Please try to practice the topics covered up to this point. It is the foundation for everything else that will be upcoming in future stumming workshops. Remember to strum steady, smoothly and consistently. This is more important that being able to strum fast.

The next part of the workshop should be a lot more interesting and (unfortunately) proportionally more difficult. We'll be covering strum patterns and how to play chords while strumming. I don't know right now when the workshop will be scheduled but Suz will let us know. You can also look in on the club calendar in the coming weeks.
