Nick Borjas

Varsity Assistant Coach

Hello, my name is Nick Borjas and I am an assistant coach at Lakewood high school. I have been coaching for 20+ years and I am very grateful to be apart of the Lakewood program. I’ve been apart of the Lakewood community for such a long time now. I coached the freshman football team a couple years and now I coach both softball and baseball. I really enjoy it, and most of all I enjoy making connections with lots of different athletes. I’ve made life-long connections with a lot of different people and hope to make a lot more. I love to make bonds with my athletes but I am always their coach first. I will motivate them to work harder and push to make them better. I am highly competitive and will always fight to be better. Coach Nick is our Outfield Coach!

Born and raised from West Texas I have a passion for sports and leadership. From a multi-sport athlete in high school I transitioned into coaching my children, spending 8 years in Little League baseball, softball, and local league football, basketball, and soccer. I have also now coached club/competitive baseball and softball for 2 years, enhancing skills in fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. With 18 years of military leadership experience, I bring a strong sense of discipline, commitment, and strategic thinking to student athletes.

I was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and have been a proud resident of Denver, Colorado for the past 25 years. I have a passion for coaching and sports with 4 years of experience coaching recreational softball and 2 years at the club/competitive level, bringing both dedication and expertise to Lakewood High School and the field. Outside of coaching, I enjoy playing adult co-ed softball, attending car shows, and spending time outdoors.
