Lafayette DanceBlue is a six-hour mini dance marathon dedicated to raising funds for the Kentucky Children’s Hospital’s Hematology/Oncology Clinic. Since its founding in 2015, Lafayette DanceBlue has grown into a beloved school tradition—uniting students, staff, and the community in the fight against pediatric cancer. Through year-round fundraising and passionate student leadership, we are proud to have raised over $300,000 for this incredibly worthy cause. Every step we dance is for the kids!

For Lafayette’s DanceBlue mini-marathon, Student Council members take the lead in planning and organizing the event, coordinating logistics, securing donations, and promoting participation across the school. They engage in year-round fundraising efforts, build partnerships with local businesses, and help create a meaningful experience that raises awareness and support for pediatric cancer through the DanceBlue organization.
