Officer Duties and Expectations
President - Acts as the chief executive and public face of the chapter. Calls and presides over all meetings; serves as the primary "point of contact" for administration and the State Convention; oversees the officer board to ensure all tasks are completed productively.
Vice President - Supports the President and manages internal operations. Assumes Presidential duties in their absence; serves as the primary Credit Coordinator for school-based opportunities (scouting tasks from teachers and extracurricular clubs); manages the reservation of school venues for meetings and inductions.
Secretary - Chief record-keeper and member liaison. Manages the official Remind and email communications; receives and verifies credit proof from members; maintains the master credit spreadsheet; monitors attendance to track "meritorious" status eligibility.
Treasurer - Financial manager and compliance officer. Collects and records chapter dues; maintains accurate financial ledgers; manages the budget for club events and convention materials; ensures all financial transactions follow CCBOE/school policies.
Service & Community Outreach Coordinator: External relations and community service development. Acts as the liaison for out-of-school officials and local CSRA organizations; scouts for large-scale volunteer opportunities; coordinates collaborative events with other local high school Beta chapters.
Social Media Manager: Digital presence and chapter documentation. Designs all graphics for the Beta Club Instagram; captures photos/videos at events; manages social medias; maintains a digital log of the year’s achievements.
Junior Officer: Held by underclassmen, serves to integrate potential officers into the team. Junior Officers serve when needed, wherever needed, as dictated by the needs of the club. A stepping stool to higher leadership positions, and a way to develop leadership skills.
