Yes, I definitely would say AVID made her more confident in herself. Here’s one example, I noticed: Making her own goals without suggestions from her parent. She was determined to have one semester of all A. She did that for 2 quarter and almost did all A's for 3 quarter but her math grade dropped to a B which put her on A/B honor roll.
This class has been AMAZING for [my student]. He struggles with ADD, thus organization and note-taking has long been a challenge for him. What you are teaching him now is helping him immensely and he’s really proud of the strides he’s taken.
