What is Gigabit Broadband ?

or otherwise known as Ultrafast Broadband

It's a lightening fast data connection between your property and the Internet.

At the moment you connect via your phone line (either directly or via wifi) which is a copper wire cable and is limited in speed & capacity. This cable would be replaced by a Fibre optic connection run direct from your property to the existing fibre box in the village at Wardwell lane, known as Full-Fibre to the Premises (FFTP), and this will allow data speeds of up to 1GB - That's a whopping 1000 Mb. You're probably receiving somewhere between 5 and 50 Mbps at present.

Why would I need it ?

Anyone running a business in the village or any family trying to connect and run multiple data streaming applications at home whilst educating children during the Lockdown, will already know the answer to this question.

Others may find that their Email, Web browsing and 'Catch-up' TV works just fine for most of the time but, will experience annoying drop outs & slower speeds during peak times or bad weather. FFTP eliminates this & provides constant Download & Upload speeds at all times of the day and in all weather conditions.

and for those who have no interest in any of this techno stuff - consider this - numerous studies and reports show significant reductions in house values for those on slower internet speed connections - with some claiming it's as much as a 20% !!

It's not all about speed though - consistency is the key, and this can only be found with a FFTP connection.
