On the 11th March 2025 ,the theoretical physics group at the University of Plymouth will run a particle physics masterclass https://physicsmasterclasses.org/
The event is for students in Years 11 to 13 studying physics at school and their teachers.
The event will start with lectures about particle physics, followed by computer sessions on the analysis of real experimental data taken at CERN. Data from the LHCb experiment ()https://lhcb-outreach.web.cern.ch/lhcbinternationalmasterclasses/d0-lifetime/ at CERN will be used. The event will end with a video conference, between CERN and other masterclass events in Europe, to discuss the analysis and results.
