Monitoring of Road & Other Similar Public Works in compliance with DILG MC 2018 -19

In reference to the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2018-19, the DILG Regional Offices monitors the compliance of their respective Local Government Units with on-going road and public constructions. 

During the ASEAN-India Summit at the Davao International Airport on January 27, 2018, President Rodrigo Duterte instructed the DILG to cause the issuance of a Memorandum Circular to address the open holes and canals on the streets caused by road and public constructions.

Policy Content and Guidelines

To properly monitor the report, Local Chief Executives are directed to do the following:

• Ensure that LGU contractors will not leave any open hole and/or canal on the streets;

• If there are delays, mandate the contractors to catch-up within thirty (30) days with the agreed project schedule;

• Monitor and Assess if the Project has exceeded the timeline based on the program of work.
