VehicleBook (“we”, “us”, “the app”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your

personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your

rights as a user. VehicleBook is primarily a local application, but it uses third-party services

such as the NBP API and Google AdMob for currency rates and advertising.

1. General Information

● VehicleBook operates primarily locally on your device.

● Your data, including information about vehicles, refueling, services, or app settings, is

stored locally on your device or in files that you import/export.

● Internet access is only required for:

○ fetching currency rates from the NBP API,

○ displaying ads via Google AdMob.

2. Data Collected

2.1 Data Stored Locally

● Vehicle information (make, model, year).

● Refueling, service, and insurance history.

● User settings, including language, currency, and theme.

This data is never sent to our servers or third-party servers (except for AdMob or NBP API

as described below).

2.2 Data Collected by Google AdMob

● Device identifiers to display personalized ads.

● Ad interaction data (clicks, impressions).

● Google may use this data for ad targeting, analytics, and optimization.

2.3 Data Accessed from the NBP API

● Currency rates (EUR, USD, GBP, etc.).

● No personal information is sent to the NBP API.

● Internet connection is required for fetching this data.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

We process data for the following purposes:

1. Local app functionality: managing your vehicle, refueling, service, and insurance

records.

2. Personalized advertising: through Google AdMob to generate revenue.

3. Currency conversions: using NBP API to provide up-to-date currency rates.

4. Sharing Personal Data

● Your local data is not shared with any third parties.

● Google AdMob may process data for ads and analytics according to its policies: Google

Privacy Policy.

● The NBP API does not collect or store personal data from VehicleBook users.

5. Data Security

● Local data is stored in files or a SQLite database on your device.

● The app does not transmit sensitive personal data over the internet, except device

identifiers for AdMob.

● Exported files are not encrypted; handle them carefully when sharing.

6. App Permissions

VehicleBook may request the following permissions:

1. Internet – to fetch currency rates and display ads.

2. Location (optional) – for location-based vehicle statistics.

3. Storage / Files – to import and export vehicle and refueling data.

7. Children’s Privacy

● VehicleBook is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age in your

country).

● We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Rights

● You can view and manage your local data at any time.

● You can delete your local data at any time using the app.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

● VehicleBook does not use cookies locally.

● Google AdMob may use tracking technologies to provide personalized ads.

● No additional analytics data is collected by the app outside of AdMob requirements.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

● We may update this Privacy Policy in the future.

● Updates will be published in the app and on Google Play.

● The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent update.
