EmbersUs – Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how users of the EmbersUs application (LookForLess) can request deletion of their account or personal data.

1. Data Controller

2. How to delete your account

You can request full deletion of your EmbersUs account and all associated data in one of the following ways:

Option 1 – In-app deletion (recommended)

1. Open the EmbersUs application

2. Go to Settings

3. Select Account

4. Tap Delete Account

5. Confirm deletion

Option 2 – Email request

Send an email to:

with the subject:

Account Deletion – EmbersUs

Please include:

• your account email (Google / Apple login)

• or username

• optional: reason for deletion (not required)

3.  What data will be deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted:

✔ User account data

• Firebase Authentication account (UID)

• email (Google/Apple login)

• username and profile information

✔ User-generated content

• notes, memories, and events

• game data and answers

• moods, intentions, and statuses

• lists and activity data

✔ Device and session data

• Firebase Cloud Messaging token

• session identifiers

4.  What may be retained temporarily

Some data may be retained for a limited time:

• backup copies (up to 7–30 days)

• financial records related to purchases (Google Play requirements)

• anonymized analytics data (Firebase Analytics)

After retention periods expire, all remaining data is permanently deleted or anonymized.

5.  Partial data deletion (without deleting account)

Users may also request deletion of specific data without deleting the entire account.

You can request this by emailing:

Example requests:

• delete all notes

• delete game history

• delete profile data

6. Processing time

• Account deletion requests are processed within up to 30 days

• Partial deletion requests are processed within up to 14 days

7.  Data processing scope

Your data may be processed using:

• Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions)

• Google Cloud infrastructure (EU and global regions)

• AdMob (advertising data, if applicable)

Data transfers outside the EEA are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

8.  Deleteion of selected data

The user may request the deletion of selected data without deleting the account by contacting us by e-mail.
