This information is stored solely to provide and improve your learning experience within the Service.

The Company may store user-selected preferences, including:
Whether Daily Quiz notifications are enabled
User-selected notification time
App preferences
Language settings
Other settings selected by the user
2.4 Automatically Collected Information
When you use the Service, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

App version

The Company may send Daily Quiz notifications at the time selected by the user and reminder notifications if the Daily Quiz has not been completed.
Promotional or marketing push notifications will only be sent with your separate consent, where required by applicable law.
Users may disable push notifications at any time through the app settings or their device settings.
3.4 Service Improvement
We may use information collected through the Service to:
Analyze application errors
Improve performance
Enhance service quality
Prevent fraudulent or abusive use

4. Word of the Day
Word of the Day is a vocabulary feature curated by the Company.
This feature is not based on the analysis of sensitive personal information and is provided in accordance with the Company's service policies.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
The Company retains personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
When the purpose of collection and use has been fulfilled, personal information will be deleted without undue delay.
However, certain information may be retained where required:
To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations;
To resolve disputes or fulfill legal responsibilities; or
To prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the Service.
When a user deletes their account, personal information that is not required by law to be retained will be permanently deleted using commercially reasonable methods designed to prevent recovery.

· Kakao: Kakao Sign-In
· Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Sending Daily Quiz notifications and reminder push notifications.
· Generative AI Service Provider(s): Generation of AI-powered vocabulary content, including Simple Definitions, Deep Definitions, and Rich Definitions.
Where the Company entrusts the processing of personal information to a third-party service provider, it will supervise and manage such providers in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws to ensure that personal information is handled securely and appropriately.
8. International Data Transfers
In the course of providing the Service, certain personal information may be processed by service providers located outside the user's’country of residence, including outside the Republic of Korea.
Current or future international service providers may include:
• Generative AI Service Provider(s): Generation of AI-powered vocabulary content.
• Google: Google Sign-In.
• Apple: Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Sending Daily Quiz notifications and reminder push notifications.
The Company implements appropriate safeguards for any international transfer of personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
9. AI Services
LexOn uses generative artificial intelligence ("AI") to provide English vocabulary learning content.
When a user searches for a word, the searched word may be transmitted to the Company's generative AI service provider solely for the purpose of generating:
Simple Definition
Deep Definition
Rich Definition
Only the searched word and the minimum information necessary to generate the requested content are transmitted.
The Company does not transmit the following information to AI service providers:
Passwords
Credit card information
Government-issued identification numbers
Financial information
Sensitive personal information
AI-generated content is provided solely as a learning resource. Although the Company strives to improve the quality and accuracy of AI-generated content, such content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or other errors.
10. Paid Services
LexOn Pro subscriptions are provided exclusively through the official in-app purchase systems of the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The Company does not collect, process, or store users' payment information, including:
Credit card numbers
Bank account information
Payment passwords and similar payment authentication information
All payment information is collected and processed directly by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective privacy policies and payment processing procedures.
The Company receives only the information necessary to verify a user's subscription status and provide access to LexOn Pro features.
11. Your Rights
Users have the following rights regarding their personal information at any time, subject to applicable laws:
To request access to their personal information;
To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
To request deletion of their personal information;
To request suspension or restriction of the processing of their personal information; and
To request deletion of their account.
The Company will respond to and process such requests promptly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Where the Company collects personal information from children under the age specified by applicable law (including users under the age of 14 where required), the Company will obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian when required by law before collecting or processing such personal information.

The Company may revise or update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in applicable laws, government policies, or the Company's services.
If material changes are made, the Company will notify users through an in-app notice or by other appropriate means before the revised Privacy Policy becomes effective.
The revised Privacy Policy will become effective on the date specified in the notice.
