Lexington Ocean Bowl Spring Tournament
What is LOSBSTr?
LOBSTr is the Lexington Ocean Bowl Spring Tournament, a national virtual ocean sciences bowl competition this upcoming season, taking place Saturday May 13th and Sunday May 14th, 2023. The competition will be head-to-head and full of buzzing. There will not be a SEB. The registration fee is $10 per team, but this can be waived if it is a barrier to entry (more information on payment will be released shortly). Teams must be less than or equal to 5 people, but interschool teams are allowed, as well as college teams! Registration will close Saturday, March 4th.
Registration will be capped at 48 teams. Top 8 teams at Nationals are guaranteed entry. The rest of the teams will be chosen on a first come first served basis.
Theme: The Intertidal Zone
This year's theme is the intertidal zone. The intertidal zone is one of the most tumultuous places in our oceans. Just as these inhabitants experience varying salinity and temperature, and withstand wave action and exposure, we as a community have dealt with turmoil and uncertainty. In celebration of your tenacity, strength, and determination to adapt to a constantly changing environment, we invite you to explore the incredible iconic intertidal zones with us!
