This Privacy Policy applies to the Lexiternis app ("Application"), created and provided by Diana Kudelina ("Service Provider") as a free service. This policy outlines the data collection, use, and disclosure practices for users of the Application, ensuring compliance with both the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the USA.
By using the Application, users agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
When logging into the Application using a Google Account, the following personal information is collected and stored in the Firestore database:
- Email (e.g., "lexiternis@gmail.com")
- Last Login Date/Time (e.g., "2024-09-23 13:47:35")
- Name (e.g., "Diana Kudelina")
- User ID (UID): A unique identifier generated by Firebase Authentication to manage the user account (e.g., "GQ7i5dbovSfDcefn23XtAxoI4dbH").
All other data provided within the Application, such as word pairs or personalized settings, is stored locally on the user’s device and is not transmitted or stored on any servers.
The collected data is used for the following purposes:
- Authenticating users through Google Login.
- Improving the Application's performance and user experience.
- Maintaining and tracking user sessions.
The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify users. These include:
- Google Sign-In for authentication.
- Google Analytics for performance tracking.
Refer to the respective privacy policies of these third-party providers for more details.
Personal data stored in the Firestore database is retained for as long as the user uses the Application or until a deletion request is made. Locally stored data remains on the device until the Application is uninstalled.
Users can delete their accounts and all associated data directly within the Application. To delete an account:
1. Log in to the Lexiternis app.
2. Access the Settings page by clicking the Globe image.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click the Delete Account link.
4. Confirm the deletion.
Upon confirmation, all data (including email, name, last login, and UID) is permanently deleted from the Firestore database. All data stored locally on the device related to the Application will also be deleted. This action is irreversible.
Users in the European Union or California have the following rights regarding their personal information:
1. Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal information held.
2. Right to Rectification: Request corrections to inaccurate data.
3. Right to Erasure (Data Deletion): Delete an account and associated data as outlined above, or request specific data deletions subject to legal obligations.
4. Right to Data Portability: Request to transfer data to another service provider.
5. Right to Object: Object to the processing of personal data in specific cases.
