LexiLayer Pro works locally in your browser. This build does not collect analytics, does not sell user data, does not use AI services, and does not send webpage text to any server.

What the extension does

LexiLayer Pro reads visible webpage text locally so it can replace selected English words with vocabulary from the languages selected by the user.

The extension ignores forms, text boxes, code blocks, and several sensitive login, payment, and financial domains.

LexiLayer Pro may store the following in browser extension storage:

Selected settings

Selected languages

Allowed and ignored site lists

Practiced words

Review history

Per-language mastery status

XP, levels, streaks, and badges

Favorite words

Personal notes

Personal library words

User-entered definitions and translations

Data transmitted

This build does not transmit webpage text, saved vocabulary, review history, or personal library data to any server.

AI and third-party services

This build does not use AI APIs, translation APIs, analytics tools, advertising trackers, or a backend service.

Browser permissions

LexiLayer Pro requests access to webpages so it can read visible page text locally and replace selected words. This access is required for the extension’s core feature.

User control

Users can enable or disable the extension, allow or remove individual sites, pause the extension, export progress, reset progress, and remove custom words.
