LEXICO PRIVACY POLICY

LEXICO (“the App”) is a word-game application that includes offline
games, online multiplayer features, Ranked leaderboards, player
profiles, and advertising.
This Privacy Policy explains what information LEXICO may access,
collect, use, store, display, and share when you use the App.
1. INFORMATION USED BY LEXICO
Depending on the features you use, LEXICO may process the following
information:
• Player name • Profile image selected by the user • Game scores and
progress • Ranked score and leaderboard position • Online multiplayer
information and game state • Anonymous user identifier used for online
features • App settings and preferences
You are not required to provide a traditional username-and-password
account to use anonymous Firebase authentication features.
2. PROFILE NAME AND PROFILE IMAGE
LEXICO allows you to choose a player name and profile image.
Your player name and profile image are used to identify your player
profile inside the App.
When you use public or multiplayer features, your player name and
profile image may be visible to other LEXICO users. This includes
features such as:
• Ranked leaderboard • Online multiplayer games • Player information
displayed during an online match
When you select a profile image, LEXICO accesses the image that you
choose from your device for use as your profile picture.
LEXICO does not need access to unrelated photos simply because you
choose a profile image. You control which image you select.
3. RANKED LEADERBOARD
LEXICO includes a Ranked leaderboard.
Information displayed on the Ranked leaderboard may include:
• Player name • Profile image • Ranked score • Leaderboard position
This information may be visible to other LEXICO users so that the Ranked
system and leaderboard can function.
4. ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
LEXICO includes online multiplayer features, including Online Scrabble.
When you use online multiplayer, information necessary to operate the
game may be transmitted and synchronized through online services. This
can include:
• Anonymous player identifier • Player name • Profile information used
in the match • Game state • Scores • Moves and gameplay information •
Match status
This information is used to connect players and operate online matches.
5. FIREBASE
LEXICO uses Google Firebase services for online functionality.
Firebase is used for features such as:
• Anonymous authentication • Online multiplayer • Ranked leaderboard •
Synchronizing game-related information
LEXICO may use a Firebase-generated anonymous user identifier to
distinguish one player from another for online functionality.
Information handled by Google services is also subject to Google’s
applicable privacy practices.
6. ADVERTISING
LEXICO uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner and
interstitial advertisements.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain
information for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Depending on the device and configuration, this can include:
• IP address, which may be used to estimate general location • App and
advertisement interactions • Diagnostic and performance information •
Device and advertising identifiers
Advertising data may be processed by Google in accordance with Google’s
applicable privacy policies and advertising requirements.
7. GAME DATA AND APP PREFERENCES
LEXICO may store game-related information such as:
• Scores • Level progress • Ranked score • Game progress • Sound
settings • Music settings • Other app preferences
Some information may be stored locally on your device. Information
required for online features may be stored or synchronized using
Firebase.
8. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
LEXICO uses information described in this Privacy Policy to:
• Provide the App and its game features • Save game progress and scores
• Display player profiles • Operate Ranked leaderboards • Provide online
multiplayer games • Maintain app settings • Display advertising •
Support security, reliability, diagnostics, and fraud prevention where
applicable
9. INFORMATION VISIBLE TO OTHER PLAYERS
LEXICO contains social and competitive features.
When you use Ranked or online multiplayer features, other players may be
able to see information associated with your in-app player profile,
including your:
• Player name • Profile image • Score or Ranked score • Leaderboard
position • Relevant multiplayer game information
Do not use a profile name or profile image that you do not want other
players to see.
10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
LEXICO uses third-party services, including:
• Google Firebase • Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads
These services may process information according to their own terms and
privacy policies.
11. DATA SECURITY
LEXICO takes reasonable steps to protect information used to provide the
App.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the
internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
LEXICO does not knowingly request that children provide unnecessary
personal information through the App.
If LEXICO is offered to children or audiences that include children,
applicable Google Play, advertising, consent, and child-safety
requirements will be followed.
13. USER CHOICES
You can choose whether to select a profile image and what player name to
use.
You can also control certain app features through LEXICO Settings,
including sound and classical music.
Device-level privacy and advertising controls may also be available
through Android and Google settings.
14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated when LEXICO features, third-party
services, or privacy practices change.
When this policy is updated, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this
page will be changed.
