"The Oscars….in two days. “Top Gun: Maverick” has 6 nominations. Lewis Pullman, who played Lieutenant Robert "Bob" Floyd flew 23 aerobatic flights with me totaling 26.0 hours. Lewis grew up walking distance to what is now know as the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Blvd where the Academy Awards are held. Lewis would drive a beat up pickup truck to the airport for our flights. His research on what and when to eat prior to flying aerobatics was at a dissertation level. Lewis’ laugh. We would be constantly exchanging humorous sarcastic remarks and music, movie, TV trivia, more laughs. Disco V-sign with fingers passing away from the eyes was our greeting to each other, sometimes in slow motion, that was a good variation. More laughs.
