The Sego Lily Center for the Abused Deaf held their annual GALA. This year the theme was Witches and Wizards where there were decorations, food, and costumes to match the wicked theme of the night. Sego Lily ended up raising more than $30,000 for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, and Deaf+ community. I was in charge of putting together the proposal that awarded the SLCC ASL/English Interpreting Program to pitch in $500 for decorations that were used to assist in making the night spookier than ever. By being awarded money to support the community it opens doors for the ITP at SLCC, SLCC itself, and most importantly the Deaf/HOH/DB/Deaf+ community. Thank you to all who were involved.
