Water much higher with high turbidity. It started raining when I was doing the tests so that might have messed with the PH if rain fell on the strips.
I was unable to get out into the field until later in the day; around 2:30. By the time I was able to visit it was raining and the water level was high and turbid compared to the other days that I had visited. I am interested in how this will affect the water sample data .
The stream was considerably louder than it has been in the past. The more turbid water seemed to contain mostly smaller soil particles, but also some leaf fragments and other organic matter. I think it might be interesting to reassess the macroinvertebrate monitoring after the water calms down to see how it affected the biota of my stream.
Nothing really stood out in the water today except a lower conductivity than I measured on the last two days.
My E. coli is beginning to develop colonies and I am excited to count them and see the concentration later tonight. Update: 11 colonies times 10 is 110.
