Look up Luxembourgish words directly from any webpage using the Lëtzebuerger Online Dictionnaire (LOD).

Install

• Install LëtzLookup for Firefox

• Install LëtzLookup for Chrome

How to use

1. Select a Luxembourgish word or short phrase.

2. Right-click and choose Look up in LOD, or use the keyboard shortcut:

   • Windows and Linux: Alt + Shift + L

   • macOS: Option + Shift + L

3. View the dictionary entry without leaving the page.

Choose translations in English, German, French, or Portuguese. You can change the default language from the extension's toolbar popup.

Privacy

LëtzLookup sends selected text directly to LOD only when you request a lookup. It does not persist lookup history or use analytics.

LOD data reuse

Dictionary results and pronunciation audio are provided by the Lëtzebuerger Online Dictionnaire.

LëtzLookup reuses the public LOD API. The reuse is declared on Luxembourg's official open-data portal: view the LëtzLookup reuse declaration.

LëtzLookup is independently developed and is not affiliated with or endorsed by LOD or the Zenter fir d'Lëtzebuerger Sprooch.
