Involve your children when making dinner, measure ingredients, sort the groceries in different ways, and encourage the children to help clean up afterward.
Talk about sounds, sing songs together, read books daily, or have your children make their own books by hand.
Allow your children to participate in household chores such as, vacuuming, doing the dishes, helping with laundry, sweeping, or watering plants.
Sort and match toys, clothes, and encourage your children to explore similarities or differences while doing so.
Play dress-up for imaginative play and allow the children to make the rules.
Go outside and explore animals and insects. Ask your children where they think the animals and insects live and talk about where they live and what they eat.
Go on a letter, number, or random scavenger hunt around the house or outside for children to explore and enjoy themselves at the same time.
