My name is Lucy and I am the owner of Let’s Talk Tidy. This is a relatively new business venture for me, especially as I have spent most of the last two decades working in health and safety, but you’re never too young to start something new!
I have been an organised and tidy person from a young age, having been encouraged to help with chores around the house when I was younger. My inspiration for my new business venture (other than loving being organised) has come from overcoming several curve balls that have been thrown my way over the past few years. Having to clear out loved ones' homes and belongings was a real eye opener and has provided me with the insight and knowledge that it is ok to let go of items that are no longer needed or that no longer bring me joy; to make decisions on what to keep, discard, donate, or recycle; and how to manage all of my life admin without keeping piles of paperwork. I recently learned that this is known as Swedish death cleaning and although it sounds scary, and perhaps unnecessary for young people in particular, it allows us to enjoy our decluttered spaces and prevents others from having to clear out our belongings when we're gone.
I understand that every home is unique, and I work closely with clients to create personalised plans that suit their specific requirements and goals. I am committed to delivering an exceptional service with a focus on professionalism, empathy, and understanding. I believe in adopting a clutter-free lifestyle through effective organisation techniques, enabling my clients to reclaim their spaces and enhance their overall quality of life. I am excited to build relationships within the community and provide invaluable support to those looking to bring order to their homes.
I am a proud member of APDO (the Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers), DBS checked, registered with the ICO and am fully insured. I have completed my Professional Decluttering and Organising Business Diploma, Grief & Bereavement Counselling Diploma, and Detoxing Your Home Diploma and passed them all with a Distinction.
I look forward to working with you.
