counseling is for people who want an active, empathetic listener, need to develop healthy perception towards self and others, who want to build better coping skills and lead happy life. counseling is for self understanding and better interpersonal relationship.

Counseling helps one to vent, the process makes you realize personal strengths, analyse reasons and remedies for your concern.
Is counseling and psychotherapy same?
There is a very thin differentiating line between counseling and psychotherapy. counseling is more of talk therapy where as psychotherapy involves other therapeutic strategies along with talk therapy and some basic assessments. counseling focuses on present action and behavior on the other hand, psychotherapy deals with recurring problems and focuses on feelings and experience.
How do I handle my emotions?
Emotions are to be mindfully observed and accepted at the first place. As for as possible, do not try to suppress your emotions. it is advisable to aim at regulating your emotions and express them rightly at right time. this will benefit you and people around you, in maintaining good emotional well-being and interpersonal relationship.
What should i do when I feel lonely?
Loneliness is expressed more in terms of state of mind than being in physical isolation. as an evidence to this, many a times, we will be feeling lonely though we are with people or with our loved ones. when you are feeling lonely, do not freeze the feeling within you. try to have a conversation with someone whom you trust and believe can help you and break the ice. Do not let the frozen ice within you for longer duration.
What if I do not feel fresh in the morning after i wake up?
It is a human tendency to desire to return back to sleep as we will be in the state of transition between sleep and wake. To avoid this, be firm with your state of sleep and wake up timings, check your quality and quantity of sleep to rule out any other psychological conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia.
How to handle distractions?
One can handle distraction by not practicing it! that is, if you are trying to focus on something, if you feel like postponing it and watch some movie or chat with your friend or just take a rest, be firm and do not allow yourself to practice distraction by sticking on to your ongoing task till you accomplish it.
How do I handle my teenage son's anger and behavior issues?
A teenager will be having multiple reasons to get aggressive and to show annoying behavior. changes they are undergoing like; biological changes, physical changes and changes in social expectations on them are few to mention. One of my all time mantra is to stay calm and not to reciprocate to their anger. this will break the vicious cycle of heated arguments and avoids further fights and violence.
How do I deal with my partner's trust issues?
Approach your partner with love and care. observe that he/she is having tough time in trusting only you or is it same with others too. Learn the reason behind his/her difficulty in trusting you/people. Accept that he/she is hurt and never be secretive with him/her. Be open and have healthy discussions to resolve the issue.
How can help myself with my age related loss and deterioration?
As you age, you get retired from job and you may lose your partner. which is obviously challenging to handle. develop your favorite free time activity and develop a circle with similar interests. Accept the facts of life and cherish the memory of your loved ones and move on with life. Have at least half an hour of any sought of physical movement and do some brain activities like solving Sudoku/puzzles, learning new language, playing board games to keep your brain stimulated.
