Chris has over twenty years’ experience as a classroom music teacher across the 11-18 age range, including twelve years as Director of Music at three independent schools in the UK. Two-thirds of his students have achieved top grades in A/AS Level (A*/A), GCSE (9-7/A*-B) and ABRSM examinations (Merit/Distinction) and have been offered places at Oxbridge and music colleges. Chris believes that every student has the potential to express themselves musically; Let's Get Musical reflects his engaging and inclusive approach.
Having received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Birmingham and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Music) at the University of Worcester, Chris is currently completing a Master’s degree in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford. He is the founder of the professional touring company Heritage Opera, with whom he has conducted over 100 staged performances, including the world première of Jonathan Dove's Mansfield Park. His musical GRRRLZ recently made its critically-acclaimed London debut.

Serenna has over twenty years’ experience teaching singing in independent schools including Bradfield College, Stonyhurst College, Bedford Girls' School, Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, and Westholme School. She teaches singing to all abilities from beginners to advanced students and her pupils have achieved successes, from beginner to Diploma level, in both ABRSM and Trinity exam boards.
Born in Leeds to English-Polish parents, Serenna received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and English at the University of Birmingham and a Distinction for both her Vocal Studies Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s Degree in Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music. Since then, she has worked as a singing teacher and professional singer with companies such as English National Opera, Heritage Opera, Opera Anywhere, Longborough Festival Opera, British Youth Opera, Focus Opera and Opera by Definition. She has performed over thirty roles, including leading parts in two world premières: Fanny Price in Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park and Paulina in The Arsonists by Alan E Williams and Ian McMillan.
