The “State of the Environment” report of the European Environment Agency (EEA) states that Europe is facing environmental challenges of unprecedented scale. By examining environmental status reports and studies on air pollution, our project was created to support studies to be developed for the problem of air pollution. The main starting point of our project process has been to minimize the effects of air pollutants indoors, starting from the smallest areas where we carry out our vital activities (our home, school, workplace). Students who play an active role in the project work gain a sense of belonging, improve their ability to work in groups, learn different languages and cultures, logos, posters, calendars, etc. With his works, he has mastered web 2.0 tools and has become the 21st century. One of our main goals is to show that they can find solutions to global-scale current world problems by reducing school dropouts, absenteeism and indifference to classes by gaining their skills. All these studies will be carried out by associating them with the curriculum in our schools in order to realize the achievements in the secondary education programs. In line with these purposes, awareness studies will be carried out on the herbarium, recycling studies, seed collection, compost fertilizer production, the names of plants that clean the air, their planting, care, relationship with the environment, benefits, and the importance of using them in living spaces (school, home). Our aim is to create awareness from generation to generation with the activity we have planned, and to keep the process that enables the teachers and learning that can be realized in any environment where the individual is present, without the limitation of time and place. Our basic philosophy is to provide each student with basic skills and to ensure that these skills are sustainable.
Our students will learn about the planting, maintenance, relationship and benefits of plants that clean the air, and understand the importance of using some special plants in their living spaces. The planned activities will keep our students active throughout the process, their interest in the school will increase with different teaching methods. All individuals should have.
Developing basic skills such as accessing, evaluating, storing, producing, presenting and exchanging information, participating in common networks and communicating with computers, reducing waste by recycling, protecting our seeds, making various fertilizers for the natural food of the soil, taking part in social responsibility projects around us. They will learn that protecting nature is among our duties. In this way, it will be ensured that they understand the importance of solidarity for the solution of problems affecting humanity on a global scale. The language of communication of our project is English, so it is aimed to develop the ability to communicate effectively by improving multilingual competence. Studies show that one of the obvious reasons for school dropouts; Despite the lack of good relations between students and teachers, the project will enable students to establish close relationships with their teachers. When the activities and activities are shared on their social media accounts, many people will benefit from these dissemination efforts and enable them to use our activities in their lives. It is also planned to carry out activities with the environment we live in for dissemination. Our long-term goal is to develop and keep the Etwining culture alive in our schools, to carry out activities in the group of young spokespersons of the environment, to learn about plants and their uses, to turn our homes and schools into clean air spaces, to draw attention to recycling where we live, to raise generations who understand the importance of local seeds, to support social responsibility projects. to increase the project experience of our schools, to prevent school dropouts and absenteeism, to ensure that the understanding of solidarity towards the solution of problems is established in future generations, to raise safe generations who do not respect the values of others who voluntarily support sustainable development, can communicate in different environments, and think that they benefit the society and the future with their work. .
We will start the activities of our project in November 2020. All our partners will establish their own groups. Among the teachers, students, administrators, parents and education-related social groups participating in the activity, they are willing to participate in the activities in the project, sensitive to the environment, open to change, and able to evaluate these ideas during and after participation. We will work with individuals with high self-confidence and socially rich people who are able to share and self-confidence. Students studying at different education levels and different classes in our schools, these students' volunteer classroom teachers, volunteer parents, at least 1 deputy principal and 1 person from school personnel. Thanks to these participants from many different categories, we will work with It is aimed to reach people. We will add all active participants and local participants to ETwinspace. In addition, we plan to organize meetings with agricultural engineers in which all our students and teachers will participate in accordance with our activities. We plan to complete the activities in the relevant months. However, different processes are experienced in this project, which is carried out jointly by 5 countries.
In order to attract the attention of more students to our project in our schools, we will exhibit the materials and seed collections created by our students from recycling products, within the possibilities, and boards will be prepared about the activities. In our schools, our project will be mentioned at teacher board meetings, and students will be able to do some activities together. Our news will be published on our school website to increase our visibility. In addition, our events will be published in the eTwinning account opened on behalf of our Project, on my website, on our facebook, instagram and blog addresses.
