About me

I received my PhD in Linguistics from the State University of Campinas, Brazil in 2020, where I worked with Dr. Bernadete Abaurre at the Language Acquisition, Processing and Syntax Lab. I also did part of my doctoral research at Ecole Normale Normale Superieure, Paris, from 2018 to 2019, where I worked with Dr. Anne Christophe at the Laboratoire de Sciences Cognitives et Psycholinguistique

I recently completed a post-doc at LaPsyDE, in Paris, under the supervision of Dr. Alex de Carvalho, with a grant from the Fyssen Foundation.  Currently, I am an Associate professor in Language Sciences at Université Grenoble Alpes, working at the GIPSA-lab.

My research explores language acquisition, development and comprehension by children, in both oral and written domains.  In particular, I study how children come to identify the syntactic structure of the sentences they are exposed to and learn the meaning of words in sentences.  Most of my studies use eye-tracking methods to investigate the comprehension of sentences and novel words by children.
