Barbara, I love the mantel vignette with the Rose Chintz cup and saucer as the stars. I have five Rose Chintz salad plates, I adore the pattern! Johnson Brothers had some gorgeous patterns, especially transferware. Wishing you a most lovely week dear one!

As I have access to some of the best fish on the planet, and really an endless supply of canned Alaska salmon, I will choose a can of the lowly pink salmon over sockeye salmon any day. As I explain on my website (purealaskasalmon.com), the historic and overwhelming preference for sockeye salmon may have its roots in the way that salmon were once upon a time caught and processed, not because of the inherent superiority of sockeye salmon over pink salmon.

Over the last three decades, things have changed greatly in the Alaska fishing fleet and the vast majority of boats, feature refrigerated circulating seawater holds. The fish that come out of that fish hold look just as fresh as they did when they went in. This has vastly improved the quality of all canned salmon, but it is the pink salmon that has really improved.

Canned pink salmon is delicious, and I think it responds better to canning than sockeye salmon. We trademarked the term the Smart Al-TUNA-tive because though a good tuna sandwich is hard to beat, a canned pink salmon is even better. It is light tasting and has no slight metallic after taste that I associate with even the highest grade canned tuna.

He also found 3 amazing CARRIER SHELLS (I was happy to find one more to add to our loot). Remember I told you we were looking for packable, light weight shelling scoops a couple of weeks ago? Well Clark got creative and picked up a lacrosse stick at Sports Authority to try it out for a shelling scoop. He unscrewed the plastic basket from the aluminum stick to fit it into our new wheeled duffle bag (Costco special) and used it everyday while beach combing and snorkeling. It worked! He loved it!!! LOL

While obviously, the sky is filled with many colors from golds to pinks to grays, blues and purples, the simplicity of First Light makes it a great neutral to go with any of these other colors and so many more.

And.. I really love how you showed the two grays up next to it. It was clear to me, even before reading the next paragraph, that Metropolitan Grey had green undertones..but I would not have known or thought of that unless I had read your post.. so thank you for that further education.

Step 2: Make your frosting. You can use any frosting that holds a little shape. I like to use my standard buttercream for the swirls, however, I substitute the shortening for more butter because I do not need these to crust. Separate the buttercream into three smaller bowls and dye pink, dark pink, and coral or whatever colors you would like!

She made one of her most popular recipes, her vanilla coconut jam cake, and layered it with coconut whipped cream that was dyed a fantastic shade of pink using beet juice. We all shared slices and each bite was heavenly. Not to mention that we were thrilled that she brought along her mini sous chef, Nico! Here is the cake recipe:

What a sweet baby in that picture! So the curtains match a coverlet that's on the bed. I found them both at Marshalls. But here is the deal . . the curtains are actually two shower curtains (fabric ones of course). Such a great tip as you can divide one lengthwise (the flower curtain) and then add a trim at the bottom to lengthen. So I added the stripe shower curtain to the end. They already have holes at the top for shower rings so I was able to just slip my ribbon through them and tie to the rod. ? Thanks for dropping by. I read your post on gas tank placement and it was cracking me up! SO TRUE!

Thanks! The baby in the picture is now almost two and will be getting a big girl room since #2 is on the way. I love the coordinating fabrics on the curtains, and to use shower curtains is such a great idea.

SOOOO pinkalicious!! It really is beautiful and you added beautiful, layered fabrics and texture and it doesn't feel like bubble gum at all!! Just perfectly pink! Thanks so much for linking up to style feature saturday! -shaunna ?

Hi Chelsea! I made her name. I had the letters but didn't like the scale of them. So I painted them to coordinate {sanded for an aged look} and mounted them to the frames. I just put scrapbook paper over the glass instead of under it. Then I used the glue gun to attach the letters. Cheap and easy way to fill more space on a wall. So happy you found me!

Probably my favorite invite, is the Lavish Damask. I like the formal styling and how it incorporates the gold and pink without being overly girly. I really like the look of this, and think it sets the tone for a beautiful and classy day.

For the groomsmen, a classic black tux is always in style, but I think a nice khaki suit would work equally well. I love how this bride used the tie colors to incorporate her color scheme (Green & Coral) it provided a nice distinction between the Groom and Groomsmen. With the pink, gold, and coral color scheme you could ask the Groom to wear pink (instead of green), and have the groomsmen in coral.

I wash my face with hot water. I don't really use any face products anymore because they make me break out. I like natural remedies. I usually put honey on my face. Sometimes, I put sugar in it so it's an exfoliant too. I add raw coconut oil, which is good as a face wash and a moisturizer. Sometimes I leave mayonnaise on the ends of my hair for a few hours while I'm writing; it's a really good moisturizer. My aunt taught me to do stuff like that because she's against chemicals. I use a lot of Aquanet, but I know that's bad for you. I heard about this thing where you basically boil oranges and you put it in a spray can, and the fruit's sugars make it all sticky, and it makes your hair stay in place just like hairspray. I've been meaning to try it, I just haven't done it yet.

I feel like fashion should really be an extension of how you feel and where you're at in your mind. Whether or not it's right, pretty much everyone gets judged by how they dress. Lately I've just been into '60s and '70s style because that was such a rebellious time. I love that era. I love colorful shit because it reminds me of Colombia. I think that's why I'm so drawn to LA, because everything has a lot of character and life and color. Everything's really vivid. I really love pastels: baby pink, periwinkle. Pink is just a really good color on me. Ever since I realized how good pink was to me, I've just been painting my nails the same baby pink color every single time. I don't switch it up. I fucking love pink.

I believe in reincarnation because energy doesn't die. Energy never goes away, it just transfers into other forms. I'm not sure what I was in my other life. Sometimes, I think maybe I was Billie Holiday. She died on my birthday. When I was growing up, I always felt a deep connection to her and her music. I always felt very connected to it, like more than anything else, and then I found out she died on my birthday. I might not have even been a person, though. But you never know.

These include business cards, thank you notes, Poshmark stickers, pens, pencils, shipping confetti, packaging tape, tissue paper, etc. When it came down to deciding which desk accessories I would pick, I wanted to make sure that everything blended and went with my relaxing chic theme. I opted for a mix of white, pink and gold. I even picked out white and gold paperclips and tacks!

The other neat thing about my home office is that it connects to my own bathroom! The sink area is actually a part of the room while the shower is in a small closed space. I painted everything in there pink, but I need to figure out a better lighting situation before I can show you that space! When we moved in the sink area was black.

I love these colors! The decor was beautiful! (I love when it's not 110% pink). A onesie station?! Can you explain? I need to know! =) Love that you can see you two in the mirror's reflection as well!

I'm in love whith the theme! and the pom poms CUTE! would you mind sharing how to make them? and those tags AMAZING! did you make those? this is one picture perfect shower! and all of you girls look incredibly beautiful! Good Job Julie! everything turned out perfect! wish I had the gift of being so creative.

It just depends on the brand when it comes to swatch size- the bigger ones are Benjamin Moore swatches from the Affinity line and the Ralph Lauren line (while the ones with multiple squares per strip are also Benjamin Moore, but from the regular line). Hope it helps!

Why I Love/Hate this plant This spring was pretty much a prescription for black spot on roses in this area, and I love the fact that the Oso Easy Petit Pink shows very little black spot damage. I also like the compact form, and I know that many gardeners will appreciate having a lower-growing plant for around patios, in foundation plantings and for growing in perennial gardens.

Frolicking mermaids feature on this fun childrens wallpaper design. Mermaid Friends in pinks and earthy boho pastel tones is pretty and playful. Pink waves and green and terracotta seashells mean this undersea adventure design was a joy to create.

With Valentine's Day over, it's apparent that spring is right around the corner. Although the weather here is going to get a bit chilly and rainy this week and other parts of the country have snow storms in the forecast, I think everyone is thinking about spring! Nothing quite says spring like the color combo of pink and green, which is why I love this preppy pink and green cardigan. I thought these pink and white check pants would be the perfect thing with which to pair the cardigan, and, to top it off, why not add a light pink beret?
