In the October 18, 1979 edition of the Baltimore Sun we find the body of a yong West Baltimore man who had been shot three times in the head was discovered by a jogger the previous day in a ditch alongside Franklintown Road. Police said it appeared that victim, Lester Williams, 25, of the 1900 block of West Fayette Street, was killed elsewhere. The body could have been pushed from a car, according to investigators.
Mr. Williams also had a bullet wound to the leg. Homicide detectives released no information on a possible motive for the execution-style shooting. The victim was fully clothed. According to police neither his wallet, nor his personal effects had been stolen. Robbery was being discounted as a possible motive and police said no suspects have been identified.
